He was Additional Secretary in the Department of Telecommunications. Prabhakar has about 36 years of technical, administrative and financial experience in the telecom sector and has held various posts in the DoT. He has also served on the Boards of BSNL and Instrumentation Ltd Kota

mquiz results

The MQuiz conducted by MoMo Bangalore saw a great turnout from the quizzing community of Bengalooru. Held at the IIM Bangalore campus auditorium, 37 teams from all the top colleges and corporates of Bengalooru turned up for this battle of Mobilized Minds. A common written prelim round was followed by two entertaining on-stage finals - one for the colleges and one for corporates.

The college round witnessed a very close finish with the winner being decided through a set of tie-breaker questions - BMSCE Bangalore pipped BITS Pilani to the post. In the corporate round, it was domination all the way from the seasoned duo of Tejaswi Udupa and Mitesh Agarwal from Yahoo! and Sun, who comfortably won the quiz.

The audience had great fun too and won loads of prizes. The winners in both tracks took home Nokia 5800 Express Music phones and all finalists won prizes. The prizes were given out by Sanjay Swamy, CEO of MChek.

· 22 Corporate teams and 15 college teams took part

· Cut-off was 13 for corporate and 11 for college teams, out of a maximum of 25 questions in the prelims

· In all, 100+ questions were asked on the topic of communication, telecom, wireless and mobile

Mobile Monday Bangalore is organizing its August event as a daylong program on Saturday, the 30th of August, 2008 between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore’ (IIMB) Main Auditorium, Bannerughatta Road, Bangalore.

Christened as “MoMo Monsoon” this event aims to create a splash pool of issues ideas, challenges and opportunities in order to evoke interest and excitement of all stakeholders in the Mobile VAS ecosystem.

Mobile Monday is a global community of wireless industry professionals. The open community promotes the wireless industry. It fosters cooperation and networking among interest groups, industry and their companies by providing the logistics and opportunities for personal and virtual contacts. It is an open forum. Organizers and administrators of Mobile Monday chapters have and maintain a good reputation in their community. Bangalore chapter of Mobile Monday started its activities in June 2006 and is the first Mobile Monday chapter in India. Mobile Monday Bangalore popularly known as MoMo Bangalore, is registered as a not for profit organization (Trust). There are more than 700 registered members on its mailing list.

We are expecting in excess of 300 participants spanning entrepreneurs, early adopters, startup teams, industry observers, media, developer community, etc from the mobile eco-system.
